  • Manage and account for allocated resources.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
  • Initiate and participate in research activities.
  • Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluating ophthalmic clinical activities
  • Carry out Human Resource Management activities such as identifying manpower needs, training, leave and deployment.
  • Diagnose, treat and manage patients with eye illnesses.
  • Carry out community sensitization about eye health.
  • Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.
  • Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him/or her.
  • Prepare and submit reports.
  • Ensure maximum protection of patients, relatives and staff.
