  • Should be a person of high integrity, with good management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Develop and implement research plans and budgets and ensure efficient execution
  • Act as Chief Research Officer by defining research priorities and collaboration with program quality units and leadership
  • Oversee quality assurance for data collection and research processes, developing and implementing relevant standards and protocols
  • Serve as a key interface between the Institute and external scientific bodies, partner organsations, government entities and funding bodies
  • Disseminate research finding to relevant audiences including policy makers, practioners and academic communities through various platforms
  • Provide technical guidance and support to serve the production of high quality research and reports
  • Contribute to staff capacity building in research, communication and other related fields
  • Identity and pursue new opportunities for research work and partnership to secure funding and expand the Institute’s reach
  • Liase with external stakeholders and partners to advance the Institute’s public health research mission.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary research teams, providing mentorship, guidance, performance reviews to ensure productivity and quality deliverables.
