Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Ensure availability of medicines and maintain stock levels and advise clinicians and other health professionals on prescriptions.
Liaise with National Drug Authority in ensuring that all medicines conform to the prescribed standards.
Ensure quality preparation of medicine and infusions.
Plan, direct, budget, coordinate, monitor and evaluate work in the Pharmacy.
Manage and account for allocated resources.
Manage and appraise the performance of staff.
Ensure that staff adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Impart knowledge and skills to staff and students.
Liaise with Ward management in ensuring that drugs are properly recorded and stored.
Participate in developing and reviewing a National formulary.
Prepare and submit periodic reports.
