Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

Diagnose and treat patients with eye diseases
Conduct pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care
Assess and refer complicated eye conditions
Conduct eye-health outreach activities
Conduct research in ophthalmology
Conduct training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Supervise ophthalmic staff and students
hConduct technical support supervision to lower-level health facilities
Plan, monitor and evaluate ophthalmic activities
Manage performance of staff
Enforce the professional Code of Conduct and Ethics
Prepare and submit periodic reports
