Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Diagnoses, treats and manages patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.
Provides comprehensive, continuing and patient-centred family medicine services.
Provides preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative health-care services.
Manages common medical and family health conditions across different age groups.
Provides appropriate emergency care and stabilisation of patients requiring referral.
Participates in specialist clinics, ward rounds, clinical meetings and multidisciplinary team activities.
Provides technical guidance to Medical Officers, Intern Doctors and other health professionals.
Supervises, coaches and mentors junior medical and other health professionals.
Participates in teaching and training of Medical Students, Intern Doctors and other health trainees.
Participates in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Participates in clinical audits, research and quality improvement activities.
Participates in development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Coordinates referral and counter-referral of patients requiring higher-level specialist services.
Provides technical advice to the Consultant/Head of Department on matters relating to Family Medicine.
Participates in community-oriented health programmes and multidisciplinary public health activities.
Compiles and submits periodic reports.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
