Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Liaise with external stakeholders and partners to advance the Institute's public health research mission.
Lead and manage multidisciplinary research teams, providing mentorship, guidance and performance reviews to ensure productivity and quality deliverables
Develop and implement research plans and budgets and ensure efficient execution.
Act as Chief Research Officer by defining research priorities and collaborating with programme quality units and Institute leadership.
Oversee quality assurance for data collection and research processes and develop and implement relevant standards and protocols
Serve as a key interface between the Institute and external scientific bodies, partner organisations, Government entities and funding bodies
Disseminate research findings to relevant audiences, including policymakers, practitioners and academic communities, through various platforms
Provide technical guidance and support to facilitate production of high-quality research and reports.
Contribute to staff capacity building in research, communication and other related fields.
Identify and pursue new opportunities for research work and partnerships to secure funding and expand the Institute's reach.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
