Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Institute measures to ensure quality preparation of medicine and infusion
Prepare procurement plan and initiate procurement of medicine and sundries
Coordinate with National Drug Authority to ensure that medicines supplied conform to the prescribed standards and requisitions made
Plan, requisition and ensure availability of medicines and adequate stock levels
Provide guidelines and advice Health Workers on medicines usage and prescriptions
Coordinate with other Health Units to ensure proper recording, storage and dispensing of drugs
Participate in developing and reviewing National Formulary
Plan, budget, prepare work-plan and account for resources allocated
Formulate and develop pharmaceutical policies, standards and guidelines in collaboration with other Agencies
Conduct research in medicines and clinical areas
Compile and submit periodic reports
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
