Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Performing and supervising complex or specialized imaging examinations
Ensuring radiation safety for patient’s staff and public
Patient care skills including counseling, consent, handling critically ill pediatric and trauma patients
Maintaining professional codes of conduct and ethics, whilst promoting it with juniors
Procurement planning and equipment maintenance, imaging consumables, films, contract media, and spare parts
Budgeting and accountability for allocated resources
Project management for service improvement and development of new modalities
Image interpretation and recognition of pathologies to guide clinicians
Infection prevention and patient care in radiology
QA/QC equipment calibration, image quality, rejection rate analysis
Anatomy, pathology, and patient positioning techniques for complex cases
Problem-solving and effective decision making capabilities
ICT skills-RIS, PACS, digital radiography systems.
