  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide safe, quality, emergency, anaesthesia and critical care services to patients.
  • Provide 24-hour coverage of anaesthesia and critical care services in the Hospital.
  • Participate in support supervision of anaesthesia and critical care services.
  • Participates in clinical anaesthetic work and ensures proper management of patients.
  • Prepares patients for anaesthesia and assists in the administration of anaesthesia.
  • Provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
  • Participates in the provision of resuscitation services in emergency and disaster situations
  • Liaises with ward and theatre staff in the preparation and management of patients
  • Ensures that anaesthetic equipment is functional, safe and properly maintained
  • Requisitions for and accounts for anaesthetic materials and supplies.
  • Participates in infection prevention and control activities in the theatre and anaesthetic areas
  • Maintains appropriate anaesthetic and patient records.
  • Participates in continuous professional development and other professional activities.
  • Adheres to the professional Code of Conduct and Ethics
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
