Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas
:
Run specialized Obstetrics and gynecology Clinics.
Manage and supervise ward rounds.
Supervise and train Medical Officers Associate Consultant and other Health Professionals under him/her
Provide technical and professional advice to Government or the Institution in Obstetrics and gynecology.
Teach Postgraduate and Undergraduate Medical Students as well as other Health Students.
Develop departmental work plans, budgets and reports.
Supervise and train Intern Doctors.
Coordinate and manage a referral system for patients at the National level.
Ensure that discipline and the ethical code of conduct are observed by staff under him/her.
Plan, coordinate and conduct research in Obstetrics and gynecology.
Provide technical guidance on specifications for procurement of equipment, drugs and other logistics required for Obstetrics and gynecology services.
