  • Ensure that records on patients are received, documented, classified and stored
  • Ensure confidentiality and safety of records
  • Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him or her
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Senior Medical Records Officer.
  • Conduct periodic audit of records and records systems.
  • Avail records/information on patients to authorized persons and observe.
  • Control of access to records/information by unauthorized persons.
  • Ensure that essential equipment and other supplies are available.
  • Plan, budget, manage, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate medical records activities in the Hospital.
